Flexi sport buggy wide axle

I wanted a wider back axle to try and reduce the amount of sideways drag I was experiencing.  This works, but I now find that I am going out with bigger kites than before, and am still getting sideways!!

This axle was designed by a bunch of folk in Chile, J. Enrique Quiñones, Calixto Rubio and Jose A. Delpiano. The design is on their site at http://www.kiteschile.cl/ This axle is 140cm wide, compared with the standard 90cm across the back of the Flexi Sport.  It is made of stainless steel and bolts onto the place where your back wheels would usually bolt.

Wideaxle4.jpg (82117 bytes) Line up the wide axle with the back of the buggy.  Use the bolts to bolt the wide axle onto the back of your buggy.
Wideaxle5.jpg (96771 bytes) If you have trouble getting the back of your buggy into the new axle, release the bolt holding the side frames to the downtube, do up the bolts on the axle then do up the downtube bolt.
